Commercial Projects
Working with main contractor partners, Miller Roofing has completed a broad range of new and refurbishment commercial roofing projects including:
Glasgow airport skyhub
Extension to Glasgow Airport Departure Areas.
Main roof consisted of Sarnafil single ply warm roof construction with rockwool cut-to-falls insulation and Kalzip standing seam roofing at plant room area. As the airport required to be fully operational during works there were a number of logistical problems to deal with, particularly site deliveries and loading roofs with materials.
The co-ordination of these operations from the main contractor, Balfour Beatty Ltd, was first class as was the attention to Health and Safety matters.
Aurora House, Glasgow
Offices project with HBG Construction (Scotland) Ltd.
Sarnafil warm ballasted roofs laid on this prestigious Glasgow city centre office building. This was a particularly difficult job due to the restrictions on storage space at ground level. Other trades needed access to the roof during construction to store their materials above ground. The co-ordination and protection of completed work by the Main Contractor was first-class.

Equinox Building, Glasgow
Offices project with Balfour Beatty Construction
Conventional Sarnafil flat roofs were completed at the top of this office building in the centre of Glasgow. Terraces were laid at different levels below that. There is access onto the terraces for the building's occupants with approximately 30% of the terraced roofing areas landscaped with planters.
Glasgow Harbour
Housing project in conjunction with Laing O'Rourke
Part of the major redevelopment of the north bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow.
The penthouse suites were roofed with Aluminium Standing Seam. For the balconies and other roofs, a Sarnafil inverted system was used.

Housing project with Bugler Developments
A Miller Roofscapes™ project for Notting Hill Housing Trust in conjunction with Bugler Developments and Miller Roofscapes™ partners, Sarnavert and Blackdown Horticultural Consultants. This 500 sq m green roof was laid on a new build social housing project at a cost of £76,000.00

Recognised for the exceptional air tightness on completion. A warm exposed Sarna roof laid on metal decking.
