Outstanding in Standing Seam

More than 70 million square metres of Kalzip aluminium standing seam roofing have been installed around the world over the last 40 years. The Kalzip system known today was patented by Patrick Schroyer in the 1960's and its rack record of performance has established Kalzip as the global market leader.

Kalzip boasts a unique 'zip' performance enhancing technology. The seam is zipped onto a clip head which means it is free of drilled fixing holes, it will not pull off the clips and the seam is able to breathe along its entire length. Further advanced forms of construction ensure maximum security and stability while allowing smooth expansion and contraction of large span sheets. A landmark came in 1966 when smooth curving and tapering were combined- creating the world's first perfect homogeneous standing seam doughnut - the Wimbledon No 1 Court.

Kalzip aluminium profiled sheets are suitable both for ventilated and non-ventilated roofs of any shape or inclination > 1° and with any type of substructure or framework.

Kalzip's speed of construction offers an ideal solution for both new-build and refurbishment, providing a lightweight alternative for over roofing or refurbishment of existing roofs. In particular, the new Kalzip liner roof system, which consists of a Kalzip standing seam outer sheet, Kalzip insulation, Kalzip vapour control layer and Kalzip liner sheet, is ideal where speed of installation is vital.

At the cutting edge in terms of innovation, Kalzip have also developed integrated PV solar options to get roofs working harder by capturing renewable solar energy. Another solution with the environment in focus is the Kalzip Nature Roof. Further information on the benefits of roof planting are to be found on the Miller Roofscapes page.
